Presumeably an issue with the Graphics cards or codecs.

Solution
Use the 1.02 Patch (http://aaronserv.dyndns.org/hosting/ffsf/downloads/ff7_1.02.zip) and Aali's OpenGL Driver (http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=8306.0).
